This is by FAR one of my FAVORITES!!! This recipe doesn’t call for peas and I just added them myself. If you’re living the Keto lifestyle you should eliminate them. I didn’t have green onions and I needed some color. 🙂
Now, another thing I adhere to is eliminating soy. This recipe does call for 2 TBSP of soy sauce. But if you’re like me and are trying to stay away from this pesky ingredient that seems to creep in everywhere, I’ve got you covered!
If you’re a die hard fan of the Benihana fried rice, this may not capture the exact culinary essence. BUT, I DO promise it will be free of MSG, VERY low carb, and low calorie with a nice texture and flavor!
If you’ve not yet heard of it, check out Shirataki EVERYTHING! The noodles and rice are AWESOME!!!
1 package Shirataki Rice — can be found in most grocery stores or on Amazon
2 TBSP soy sauce — or Coconut Aminos Soy Sauce Alternative (soy free)
5 oz bean sprouts
2 stalks green onion, chopped
1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 egg, beaten
1 chicken breast — cooked and cubed or shredded
2 tsp sesame oil
· Prepare Shirataki Rice as Directed
· Heat sesame or olive oil in a frying pan
· Add one and bean sprouts and sauté until slightly golden brown
· Add in eggs and sauté
· Add chicken, rice and sauce.
